Jamyang only has 5 areas line-managed by the CD; Centre Manager (paid), SPC, Communications, IT, Bookkeeper.

Buddha House has 12 areas line-managed by the CD; Spritual Programs, Marketing, Gift/bookshop, Treasury, IT, Administration, Maintenance, Teacher Care, Buddha's Bowl, Tara Hall, Hospice, Members.

Tara Institute has no areas line-managed by the CD. Each Portfolio holder (7) has an equal vote compared to the CD's single vote with no line-management authority over — SPC, Treasurer, Secretary, Residents, Members, Geshe Care, Maintenance.

It would be worthwhile to conduct a survey of how other established larger centres manage areas of responsibility so that we can see what we can learn from their experiences.
