Maintenance issues

Mavis Avenue is an old property: apparently the original mansion doesn't have foundations (according to Mark Allaway?) and the "modern" cream brick extensions were just-do in the 1970s and have some serious issues today. The nuns sold it for many strategic reasons that were a long-time coming for them in the 80s. As we add on another 40 years, those issues are ours to confront anew. They haven't gone away over those 40 years, only compounded.

Rethinking accommodation (1 viewing)

When we first moved in, we faced a desperate need for income and having many residents was an essential element for that reason. Over time, residents have cobbled together better accommodation by grafting on adjacent rooms. Is it time to look more architectorially at creating more properly designed apartments and fewer basic room accommodation?

Public bathroom/toilets outside hall

If the hall is to be used for hire by the public, the toilets need to be brought up to this century. What ideas do you have?

Dealing with storage

The garage and back room, two outside rooms behind the garage and probably other areas are loaded with things that belong or no longer belong to anyone; what should be done with the space that is being taken up?
